Events at Old Trafford – Minibus Hire

As the fourth largest stadium in the UK and the largest outside of London, Old Trafford is a venue to much more than the home games of Manchester United.

Football

Whilst the Red Devils compete every year in the Premier League and UEFA Champions League, packing out every seat to locals and tourists alike roaring on the team, Old Trafford also stages a number of other key sporting and entertainment events. The England football team played here several times between 2001-2007, whilst the Football Association regularly choose the stadium for FA Cup semi-finals and other major events.

Even the Soccer Aid match organised by Robbie Williams and featuring stars such as Gordon Ramsay, Teddy Sheringham and the guys from JLS was hosted here in May 2012!

Other Sports

Old Trafford also plays host to a number of rugby league games with the Super League Grand Final here in October every year since 1998, whilst the Austrian rugby league team have fond memories of their World Cup Final win in 2000.

Rugby Union is not to be outdone either with Old Trafford confirmed as one of the 12 venues for 2015 World Cup.

October 1993 also saw one of the greatest boxing bouts ever – “Judgement Day” – as Chris Eubank tied with Nigel Benn to each retain their WBO/WBC titles.

Concerts

Bon Jovi, Genesis, Bruce Springsteen, Status Quo, Rod Stewart and Simply Red are just some of the great artists to have had Old Trafford dancing and singing, and the stadium continues to be booked for such huge events.
